It’s time to roar your support for the Lions

It’s getting real now, the British & Irish Lions fly out to New Zealand next week and play their first warm-up game on June 3.

There will be 10 matches in all on the tour and the heat will definitely be on by the time the first of the three Tests against the All Blacks kicks off at Eden Park, Auckland, on June 24!

All games and Tests (June 24, July 1 and July 8) will kick off at 8.35am BST and are being shown on Sky Sports with radio commentary on talkSPORT.

Saturday sales assistant Brad Johnson (Melton RFC Colts and Second XV) has picked his starting XV for the first Test and, controversially, he’s benched tour captain Sam Warburton. Not sure what head coach Warren Gatland would make of that!

Here is Brad’s team, subject to late injuries and call-ups of course:-
Front row – McGrath, Best (captain), Cole; Second row – Itoje, Kruis; Back row – Stander, Tipuric, Faletau; Half-backs – Murray, Sexton; Centres – Farrell, Joseph; Wings – Williams, Nowell; Full back – Hogg.

What do you make of his selection? Feel free to post your chosen XV at
