Not sporty? There’s still an activity for you

What do you do if you’re not sporty but want to be fitter and healthier? The good news is there is lots going on in and around Melton and you can find an activity that suits you.

In this blog we summarise what is on offer for people of all ages, flagging up our top pick or a new activity. Venues are in Melton unless stated.

There are also healthy eating cookery courses for adults and families and an exercise referral programme – speak to your GP.

Early years (age 0-4)
Choose from:- Parent and Baby Yoga; Physical Literacy and Movement; FUNdamentals; Toddler Group (Old Dalby); Nursery Ballet (Bottesford)
NEW – Buggyfit, a fun and safe way to get back into exercise after giving birth. Sessions include walking, jogging, strength and toning exercises. Meets Melton Country Park Visitors’ Centre, Mondays 1.30-2.30pm, £5 per session. Contact: Sarah Woodhouse 0774 779 7116

Children and Young People
Choose from:- Roller Games; Gymnastics; Cheerleading (Kirby Bellars); Junior Striders & Junior Parkrun
OUR PICK – Meteors Youth Cycling. Whatever your age or ability, try mountain biking, BMX and track riding through lots of fun games and activities.
