Melton’s sports awards are back!

After an absence of three years, the sports awards are making a comeback with a new name and identity.

The Let’s Get Moving Melton Awards 2023 will celebrate fantastic achievements and dedication to sport, physical activity and health across Melton borough. 

A team, led by Melton Council, is pulling the awards together ready for a night of celebration in the Civic Suite at Parkside on November 30th.

The awards will build on the success of recent initiatives such as Let’s Get Moving Champions and Ambassadors and Let’s Get Moving Melton Day which have seen thousands of residents move more, more often and try new activities.

The awards are split into two and nominations are open.

Children & Young People Awards

• Let’s Get Moving School Award
• Primary School Team of the Year
• Secondary School Team of the Year
• Junior Team of the Year
• Junior Club of the Year
• Junior Sportsperson of the Year
• Let’s Get Moving Young Hero Award

Adult Awards

• Team of the Year
• Group/Club of the Year
• Melton Inclusive Sport Physical Activity (MISPA) Person of the Year
• Sportsperson of the Year
• Let’s Get Moving for Health Award
• Let’s Get Moving Hero Award
• Let’s Get Moving Outstanding Contribution Award
